CBPE invests in assisted reproduction & gynaecology centre

CBPE Capital LLP (“CBPE”) is delighted to announce its investment in the Assisted Reproduction & Gynaecology Centre (“ARGC”). ARGC is one of the world’s most successful IVF clinics having consistently delivered industry leading success rates since its inception in 1995. The clinic was founded by Mr Mohamed Taranissi who retains a majority stake and will continue to lead the business through its next phase of growth. CBPE will take a minority stake in the business.

The investment will support ARGC’s growth plans which include opening a number of clinics across the UK as well as overseas. Mr Taranissi is a world renowned IVF practitioner and the London clinic attracts a number of international patients based purely on reputation and recommendation. Success rates at the clinic are more than twice the national average for women under 35 and almost three times the national average for women over 40. The IVF market in the UK is growing at 7% per annum with many international markets experiencing growth in excess of 10%. Demand for ARGC’s services often results in long waiting lists and opening clinics across the UK and abroad will allow many more patients to benefit from its services.

Mr Taranissi said: “I have wanted to extend ARGC’s reach for some time now. I am conscious many people cannot afford the time or expense of travelling to London for treatment and I know we could help many more couples if we could see them locally and at an earlier point in their fertility journey. This transaction will allow us to invest in the resources and infrastructure necessary to provide our unique service across the UK and abroad.”

Commenting on the investment, Anne Hoffmann, Partner at CBPE, said: “We are delighted to announce this transaction. We have worked closely with Mr Taranissi over a number of months and are pleased to be supporting the growth of a business that brings joy to so many couples.”
